Now I'm Hooked!

My first time using an elevated tent and I’m amazed this isn’t the standard. I actually slept in it and was shocked by how comfortable it was, just add a blanket and pillow and you’re set. The quality is top-notch, putting it together was pretty easy, and getting out of it was just as easy. I especially liked being off the ground since it felt cleaner and cooler in our Florida heat. Even the blackout interior helped me sleep better than usual while camping. I can’t see myself ever going back to a regular tent after this and I highly recommend it.

Initial review

Initial review as I have only spent 1 session in the shelter, it was a test setup before an important adventure, this shelter is well constructed, the "Blackout" feature is great, I can see already that more venting would be a plus, also I am concerned about the screen zippers termination on different ends causing couples to want to sleep head to foot to more easily reach the zippers.

Kakadu 2-person Cot Tent

The cot tent is pretty much as described in the online description. It sets up fairly easily and appears to be rugged and able to handle the outdoors environment.

HUGE and comfy!

This thing is awesome! My friend who is VERY tall and built like a Viking can sprawl out in it with plenty of room to spare, and comfortable enough that he passed out immediately when he tested it. My nephew like to use it as a contained bouncy house with a bunch of balloons in it, LOL. Very sturdy

Awesome tent! But be aware - very heavy!

We love this tent. It was very comfortable; no additional pads necessary! A lot of room; I am 5'10 and I felt like it was plenty long enough. My wife and toddler are able to share one side of the tent for now. We like that there are doors on both sides. The rain fly looks plenty heavy duty enough to keep dry; but we have not tested it in the rain yet. The case is plenty large enough that it doesn't have to collapsed perfectly to get it back into the case.
Tent poles are very nice and heavy duty. It's a bit hard to lock it if you are doing it by your self. Possible to do on your own, but easier with two people.
Be cognizant of the weight. It seems to be made for car camping; I would not want to carry this a long distance.
Our only complaint is that some of the stitching and seams seems suspect. There is a lot of thread that that was hanging out the seams. It doesn't look quite as neat as we were expecting but not a major issue.
