Fast Frame™ Tent 3P

This is a very well thought out design which offers many options for ventilation with lots of mesh available to let the air flow through. There's plenty of space for 3, and even better for a couple or even large solo tent!

While it's definitely not a hiking and backpacking tent (approximately 20 lbs) it's an excellent option for weekend trips to the campground or forest lands.

Set-up is quick and easy with the fast frame design. The legs and top bar simply extend into position and lock into place. The material is excellent and definitely heavy duty.

One of my favorite features is the 2 pole awning design which allows easy viewing of the forest around you while the excellent mesh keeps the bugs out.

Nice for a solo camper. I was hoping this was a little bigger for my wife and I. It says 3 person tent, but with my wife's stuff it was basically just for 2 people. Maybe that is not the tent, but my wife and her stuff that she needs. I was able to fit a twin size air mattress in it with a little extra room for stuff. It was comfortable to be in, but a little shorter than I would like. The setup was super quick and easy, just as advertised. I think I will get a slightly larger one for us, and use this for my kids (aged 24-30) when they come out with us. To give them a little privacy. Overall it was a nice tent, I believe most of the issues I had were not the tent, but with what the wife wanted to bring with us.

This is a great tent for car camping, not for hiking given its 20 lbs weight.

As advertised, setting it up is less than 2 minutes. Of course, if you add the rain fly, stakes, front flap setup you’ll be at about 5 minutes. Which is amazingly fast for such a size. Not to stand up inside but add two cots and get in and out comfortably. Exactly what we needed.

I decided on this one because of a YouTube video I saw, which touted the star gazing function. Indeed, the top will protect you from insects but still allow full view of the sky. One of the sites we camp at is known for star gazing (dark...) and this time we sat inside, no insects, and enjoyed the view.

The design is very clever, from the built-in rod, to slide and lock, to gusseted window coverings, and more.

We are enjoying every aspect of this tent. I wish I could give it a 5 star, but our tent had one of the poles with an issue. A two-inch length of paint peeled off exposing the steel. I asked the CSR and they agreed that a touch of clear coat should protect it from rust.

I've been on the lookout for a larger tent for quite a while, so when this 3P Fastframe from Kakadu came up, I immediately grabbed it. I've got a pretty full catalogue of Kakadu gear, and every single thing I have from them has been top notch. This tent is no different.

It is super easy to set up and only takes a couple minutes. It is very roomy and my big comfy double sleeping pad fits in there with room to spare for gear. There isn't room enough to stand all the way up, but you certainly dont have to crawl. The rain fly is optional, which is great for clear nights and stargazing. The mesh is tight, not even the noseeums can get through it (believe me, I would know if they could lol).

With the rain fly on, it's absolutely waterproof, but the real feature here is the big vents on either side. Some larger tents I've had before have had some level of condensation, but this one has excellent air flow and I noticed none in the morning. I also appreciate the front flap that can be staked up on poles and used as a shady spot or to sit under in the rain.

This tent will be my go to for all of my non-solo adventures from now on.
